SKB ps-4545 or Pedal Train PT-2

Hi guys,
So I'm starting to think the Pedal Train is a better buy (minus the power & loop functions of the SKB). It has a better, more durrable case... place to hide the cables... mount for good power like the Voodoo Labs... & seems solid, not squishy.

Any of you guys have real world use experience with these? Let's hear your thoughts.

I dumped my PS-45 for a PT-2/VoodooLabs PP+. The Pedaltrain blows the SKB away, solid and sturdy, clean and tidy.

I don't have the PT-2 but I do have the PT-1, which is only 2" smaller than the PT-2, and I have the PT Mini. I decided to can the PS-45 because 1) the PS-45 was way too heavy even without any pedals in it compared to the PT-1. 2) I figured I would gain more real estate by mounting the p/s under the board with the PT-1. 3) I really dig the clean cable management with the PT as opposed to trying to hide the cables in between the pedals with the PS-45.

The Voodoo Labs PP2+ is a much better p/s than the PS-45 because it is smaller and hides under the board. Once again, dig the clean cable management.

Also, depending on where you purchase everything, the PT-2 with a HSC and the Voodoo Labs PP2+ may be cheaper than the PS-45. Cost is also a determinig factor when I am trying to figure out what I will decide to use. I don't have tons of $$$ to spend frivilously...unless I absolutely, positively, no doubt need to have a new pedal

Thanks guys, I've pretty much made up my mind. Pedaltrain it will be. Where are the best prices you've all seen for them & the Voodoo Labs power supply?

Voodoo Lab Power Plus 2 160 bucks on musicans friends, bought mine about a month ago, i love it. dont know why i never had one before.

I have a PT1 from Guitar Center and a BBE Supacharger. I don't run too many pedals (four if you include my tuner pedal and my X2 wireless reciever.), but I wanted some extra room because I am planning on expanding my rig. I was amazed with how easily it went together. I was using a very basic board that came in a bag with my Supacharger strapped to the top of it. The ingenuity of how the power unit screws into the bottom in the hanger is amazing. It is light, and the road case is so cool.

As for power, I would recomend looking at the Supcharger. It is usually a little cheaper than the Voodoo. It does not have the extra power outlet on the back, nor does it have the power sag knobs available. I am not knocking the Voodoo by any means, as it has served many musician friends of mine very well. But, if you don't need the two features it is missing, it is a great piece of gear.
