Sliding Harmonic?

At the end of this song, Steve DiGiorgio does some sort of slide, but it sounds like a harmonic ?? How??
Not in a position to play the track just now...
Sliding harmonics is a standard element in the fretless bag of tricks.
Strike the harmonic, touch the string to the fingerboard (gently!) slide away.
I've done it (not well...) and it's a fun technique that doesn't often fit what I play.

The technique is the same on fretted but it's really hard to make it work well.
Try it! Get a good clear harmonic and run it up the fretboard.
I think if I had to do it dependably I'd be looking at pitch-bending pedals and whammy bridges...

Yep, it's not too hard on a fretless. It's still possible with frets, but the slide won't be as smooth or as lasting. You can use the "pinch" technique (either with fingers & thumb or pick and thumb) also, which can give you some nice harmonics to slide.

If I can do it- it's not that hard!
