sliding harmonics

Actually, I do use a sliding harmonic sometimes. I do a G harmonic chord at the end of a song, holding the G1 (E string, 3rd fret) fundamental. I hit the harmonics at the 5th fret, then with my right hand, go past the nut on the A string to press the string, and quickly pull the note up over the nut a whole step (2nd fret). Resolves the harmonic chord and sounds a lot like a pedal-steel bend.

I never thought of that. Doing that w/ the harmonic tapping technique that joe p was talking about sounds awsome. I tried this shortly after reading this thread and came up w/ some riffs that sound really tech, but are simple as hell to play. By tapping the harmonic w/ your right hand it leaves both hands free to bend and tap different patterns you normally wouldn't be able to do. Try this, using both hands tap a three note harmonic chord and only bend one or two of the strings above the nut. You can get some pretty crazy sounds. It might sound good w/ some different effects.
