Slower Downer

Media Player only does it if you've already ripped the tunes to your library. I listen to too many different songs. I'm going to go with the Tascam unit.

Another peice of software that does this is Slow Gold for PC.

On Slowgold: How easy would it be to have a song, and export it slowed down at various speeds to burn onto a regular CD to play in my old stereo system?

i believe that SoundForge also does this. not sure if it changes the pitch...

I have Amazing SlowDowner and I just downloaded the demo version of Slow Gold to compare the two. IMO there is no contest. Amazing SlowDowner is much more flexible, controllable and easier to use than Slow Gold.

I did get a Tascam CD-BT1MKII and it is THE best tool for me to learn any kind of song as quickly as possible.

I joined a band and had to learn 60 songs in 10 days...and they played quite a few in different tunings. The Tascam CD-BT1MKII made all the difference. Best money I ever spent.

I still use it frequently for new songs as I can practice anywhere, at any time without bothering anyone else...or anyone bothering me.

Just bought one today, glad I did. pop in a set of headpones and your bass and thats it. I like the fact that it is portable also. fits in your gig bag. I heard good things about the slowdowner software also, but being in computer field and being around servers all day, its refreshing to be detached from them during my play time..

I just love that little Tascam unit.

Be warned though, it eats batteries like crazy. Aside from that, it's great for learning new tunes.

Being a network admin, I am around computers all the time too, so it's nice to get away from them.
