Small 5 string neck

The thinnest neck I have on a 5 String is my 1987 Peavey Dyna Bass 5....but it's 35" long scale.....I recently purchased an Ibanez BTB 845v. Its a 5 string designed for EADGC....I converted mine to BEADG..the nut is 45mm and I had to file it for the strings but it's a 33" scale bass. I absolutely Love this bass so far and gigged it my last two gigs ( thanks again, Snert) but you may not like the feel or response of the conversion....still, the bottom line is: When you are thinking thin neck basses nowadays; always think Ibanez

Also the SR necks are lighting fast,

..for someone with small hands. For people with big hands, a bigger neck is actually faster - your fingers aren't all crammed together.

Thanks people for all of your suggestions. Keep them coming. I will check them all out. I've added a recent contender that feels pretty good, a Sandberg California II Tm.

If you can find one, Gibson made a 5-string in the late-80's called the Thunder Series V. Very small, tight 5-string. Mine is an '87, in Ferrari red.

The OP did say "Any brands/models that fit this description most appreciated." so the Gibson, while a long shot, is what he's asking for.

My old Dean Edge 5-string has a very thin, narrow (and fast) neck profile. Fairly tight string spacing, too. I tuned it EADGC and it served me well for many years. However, it is a 35" scale, so be prepared for that. But if you can find an old one to try out in the used market it might be a good fit.
