small [affordable] reverb pedals

I gig with a HOF mini. It's a great pedal if you find a tone print that works for you. And I have found several. I highly recommend it. I am sure there are better pedals out there somewhere. However, this is a pro level pedal that does exactly what I need. It's cheep, dependable, and sounds great. I got a second one last week on Amazon new for $79.

I've owned the Hardwire RV-7, Supernatural, And Hall of fame in the past. I like the Hardwire/Digitech stuff more than the TC HOF. Not to say the HOF is bad, it just has the weakest spring mode in my opinion. The other sounds in the HOF are awesome.

Sooo...I also have space for one tiny pedal left on my board...I guess the only TC Mini, 1590A-ish options are the Malekko Spring, the Mini HOF and maybe that Joyo thing.
I'd be tempted to try the HOF, but opinions seem to be pretty divided on that one.

The TC spring reverb is absolutely awful. I use the standard plate toneprint and it sounds very close to my guitar amp's spring reverb.

+1 for the HOF. I have the Arena version and use the plate and church settings regularly. And there are plenty of toneprints that will suit your needs. No compliants about the quality of sound or build. TC generally makes great stuff.

I'd also consider the Mooer Shimverb. Its a very versatile reverb in a 1590a package. The sound is much more lofi tho, not as crisp as the hof or others. Settings for spring, hall and weird. Wet/dry mix as well as shimmer.

I have both on my board and run the Shimverb before my Aftershock to accentuate the lofi-ness. HOF sits at the end of my board to give everything else a little sonic space.
