Hey,
I'm looking for a new upright amplification system that is small and portable. I was going to buy a GK MB150 but thought about the idea of a powered speaker, a JBL EON 15' for example.
These things go for 700$, have mutiple inputs so you could blend a mic and the pickup (through my Fishman pro platinum EQ first) and they have a super wide freq range, with the mids a UB requires. Right? Plus they're loud, super resistant, and you can use it as a monitor for other stuff..
Anyone uses a powered speaker as permanent 'amp'? What would be the downside?
