Double Bass small mic trick

i've been experimenting with this, and it seems to work reasonably well.

meisel's cute little digital tuner can also serve as a sweet microphone mount for a mini condenser mic ... i'm using an audio technica 831b. put a dab of velcro on each and you can position the mic virtually at the face of the bass, between the bridge. sounds great and is *easy*. even if you don't use the tuner, it's still a cost effective way of mounting a mic upclose and personal.

it's also easy on, easy off.

I just got my meisel, and I really really like it. But i too noticed it rattled. But I figured out it was the battery, not the buttons. I took the battery cover off, folded a small piece of paper i had in my pocket and put in under the cover, and put it back on. Rattle ended, gig went on happily.
