i have a Roland cube-30 bass amp - very nice sound - fun little amp and tiny! i bought it new for $209. it models about 6 amps (bassman, fliptop, ect.) and has a few built-in effects. it's also a loud little 30watts.

small/practice amp with nice sound

fender rumble 100, or the fender bassman 150.
Fender's new Bassman amps are wonderfull. Fender has really done somthing well with these amps.
I used to be a Fender amp hater, but now I can't deny the tone they have... they are great.
I have the 250/115.

+1 I am currently using the "Baby Baby Blue" 1x10 very sweet. Something a little less pricey though you might want to check out the SWR Workingmans 10. I used one of those for a long time and it sounded great especially for the $$

But now (sadly) all my portaflexes are gone.
Some of the Traces are cool bedroom amps the BLX(?) works and an Ampeg BA 112, which oddly enough I kanda like better than the BA 115. To be fair I have not owned a B115, only tried some in stores.
Almost bought one of those Thunderbirds.

+1 for the Fender Bassman combos. The 150 (12") is a super combo that is inexpensive (less than $350), light weight (39lbs) and sounds great!
I think the 100 (10") is so-so, but the 150 is a sharp unit that could perfom at small gigs too.

If all you need the amp for is bedroom practice, I'd recommend an SWR LA-10. Invalid Link Removed

4.) 26lbs.
I think it has a pretty good tone, and will go loud enough to keep up with a vigorously strummed acoustic guitar.
About $200 just about anywhere.
The 26lb weight was the thing that made me buy it.

I've had the Roland Cube 30 for awhile now and it is absolutely perfect for bedroom practicing. If you can try one out I'm sure you would be impressed by the many tonal options.
I have an Ibanez Sound Wave 65w. Its good. Was cheap to buy. Has a 12" speaker and a piezo cone. Headphones out, line out, CD in, FX loop, kickback and 10db gain boost switch. Very loud for its size, and has a nice tone.
