Small size set up with big sound?????

Am about to convert from my big/heavy set of amp and cabs to a lighter set. As a bread and butter musician I play all sorts of music, Texasblues, Jazz, old school rock etc.
I hope to find a smallsize/light weight set up that will work in any musical situation.
Is it possible to have the combination of smallsize set up and big sound? Any experienced suggestions?

I love this...BGE1200 on dual neoX112's. It simply kills when you need to move A LOT of air, take one when you only need one. The 3.75 pound Shuttle 6.0 will also put a hurting on this set of cabs.

Ashdown combo's have a massive sound, alternatively ashdown have just released the Little Giants, £350 for a 1000W head that you could almost fit in your pocket, if I had any money at all, i would swap my massi 600W tube head for it anyday.

Than You all for the input on the subject.

Living in sweden I belive there are no oppurtunities to try out any of the cabs/amps recomended. Ashdown maybe, but not the others.
You might think "Why dont use EBS"? The answer is: I dont find them to sound good!
I have owned a TFB 420, great amp with lots of power, but found it to be a bit "to much solid state". Used to run it trough a Ampeg neo 212, a cab that sounded good on moderate volume, but that was all.

At this moment I´m using Alembic F-1X/QSC PLX 3002 played trough SWR cabs (Goliath III and a Goliath III Jr).
I have not desided if I´ll keep the amps and get two smaller/lighter cabs or go for a complete new combo with an ext cab.

My search is for a small powerfull rigg, that can handle medium sized clubs without cranking up.
The pic off the Genz Benz set up is by it´s looks an ideal, with two 112 neo cabs. I´ll have that in mind and hopefully some way get the oppurtunity to try it out.

I have had thoughts of getting me two GS 112, but they are rediciously expensive in sweden ($1000 - 1200 each). Have found GS 112 ads here on TB that are priced suiting my pocket, excluding shipping and tax. Dont know the shipping rate, but it might be worth to consider.

I don't know if this helps but here is a you tube video of the NEOx112 being driven by the GBE1200 with a loud trio (because the guitar you hear has burried the second guitar player). Bass is a Pbass. It will at least give an idea of what it sounds like. Use headphones unless your pc speaker are real good.

Great bassplaying in the TOP band. Must be great teaming up with that drummer.

Markbass LMII or F1 into whatever strikes your fancy of the following:

Epifani UL410-S2
Bergantino AE410
Genz Benz NeoX212 or a pair of NeoX112

If I were to try replacing my current rig with lightweight stuff, those are what I would look at first.

Not so light, but I think would sound awesome (from all accounts): Thunderfunk TFB750 or Genz Benz GBE750 into a Genz Benz UB410.

per the OP's question of light weight easy on the back do-it all cab: I considered the (2) 1x12 route: I decided for me, I don't ever play where I only need or want 1x12, and it just doubles the amount to carry and ultimately adds weight and size. I also looked at the GB neox2x12 cab--very nice, but $ more, weighs 50% more and is physically larger than the 1212L (which is barely larger than a 1x12). I also did not find the built in wheel arrangement ergonomically suited to me for transport (although I think it could be w/ the addition of a short-throw telescoping handle) tone is all subjective, and I'll admit that I don't care for the 1212L's stand alone tone at home. On a gig however--it is golden! all useable bass w/o any "boom", easy for everybody on stage to hear and sits in the mix real well. so for me, a one-cab one-trip lightweight solution was hands-down the 1212L YMMV IMO etc etc.

PS the one part of the OP's Q I can't answer is the 1212L's suitability for jazz--I haven't done any jazz gigs--but blues and classic rock? hell yeah!
