Small stage snake for a working cover band.

Well what ever still an issue as far I'm concerned. The EWI snakes I mentioned earlier have a 3 year warranty.

Not to be argumentative, but I've owned EWI stuff. The jacks on the OSP's are better. They are Neutriks. Anything that gets plugged and unplugged enough times can develop issues over time. The stuff from Audio Pile is fine, but you are splitting hairs when trying to choose between it and OSP. If you want Neutrik connectors on the EWI, it is a significant price increase. If you want to tour with it, spend the big money once, and get Whirlwind. It is double or triple the cost of anything else out there for a reason.

Well they obviously don't believe in their snakes since they only offer a one year warranty from what I saw.

Whatever snake we get is going to get rolled up in a rolling bin, and only taken out when we need it - and babied substantially. Just wanted to know if the Elite Cores were absolute crap. Sounds like they are low quality but decent enough for our band and only being on stage - we don't have to worry about the crowd walking all over it. We don't run around, we play and sing.

Thanks for the info. We are technically able to repair a bad jack if need be and can put a new end on - we just didn't want to build a snake. Cost vs time and energy wise it's easier to buy.

From the use you describe, they will be perfectly fine for you needs! ;) And honestly, not crap at all. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you see them. No need to baby them at all, they're just not made for heavy touring use. As I said, good bang for the buck.
