Small Stompbox-sized Crossover?

Sorry for posting this in 2 Forums, but I'm not sure where exactly to ask.

Anyway, anybody know of a small 2-way crossover that comes in a stompbox-like format? Prefer a 9-volt or other battery-powered version.

I don't know that these exist, but I imagine you could build a small 2-way crossover quite easily. The circuitry is relatively simple for a passive crossover (in essence, it's just a splitter with a HPF and a LPF with the same filter frequency). Would it be an always-on unit?

That Rolls is the only recent-production off-the-shelf example I know of. There was a very old Pearl brand chorus pedal that happened to include a decent crossover, but they are a bit hard to find. And there have been a few DIY or small-boutique xover pedals, but I don't know of any that are ready to buy off the shelf.

Edit! How could I forget? The FEA Labs Dual-Band compressor pedal is also a fine crossover, and it runs on 9V. It's spendy, but it is an example that is ready to buy.

That's slick.

The way I'm setting up my pedal board, I want to cross the signal at 140hz, keep the lower frequencies clean and have the higher frequencies travel through my effects chain.

I need one. Now.

Yeah it'd be an always on thing. The Rolls is nice and I looked at it, but it requires an adapter and I'd prefer to be able to slap a battery in it occasionally.

I'll check out the FEA Labs. Can anyone remember the name(s) of the boutique models?

Edit: FEA x-over is locked at 350 Hz. Not bad, but not ideal either.

Their full-featured model is adjustable from 45 Hz to 1 KHz. But it costs more.

Ah I see it now! If only they made one with just a knob an input and two outputs...anyone know someone who makes custom effects?!

Oh yes, there are several. The first person I'd recommend is Max at [sfx], he is on TB as username "Silent Fly", so PM him. If I didn't already have the FEA, I'd order such a thing from Max for sure.

Thanks Bongo! Does he have a website? I feel like googling sfx would be cumbersome.

Edit: Or I could just search for him on TB and see if he has it in his sig or something. Duh.
