Perhaps. But don't forget that the HT210 is a ported design, and the NV series are sealed cab designs. IME/IMHO, this makes a huge difference.

As for specific amp recommendations, I'd look for a Trace Elliot VR350 or VR400. Man, those things sound good! They're hard to find, though.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to put a compressor in between the high frequency output of the crossover and the other tube power amp leading to the 210? I think I could use a bit more sustain when popping and slapping, would this help?

Yes, it would make a difference if both HT210 and NV610 were fed a full-range signal. If the crossover frequency is high enough it doesn't matter if the "high" cab is ported or sealed.

How Small of a Tube head, weight wise are you looking for? I guess also what type of price range are you trying to stay in. There are a few custom all tubes had available an coming out like the Sadowsky, another guy with a thread going right now, but in the 3k range verse companies like Mesa and Ampeg, but these are quite hefty amps. Not sure the weight of the Yorky or trace and other's.

I have the True-Voice "Studio" all Tube head that will be out at Winter NAMM is the reason I ask. It is a 100 watt all Tube head and very compact in relation to other's. It uses 2 KT90's and 2 6SN7's for the pre front end.

That looks to be killer, Brian. Have you nailed down the price range yet?

Oh, and BTW, I gigged with my True Voice preamp again last Saturday, and man, did it sound awesome!

I am actually just looking for the power amp. 100 watts minimum, no more than 4 rackspaces, weight is not an issue. I want to keep my price sub $1000, but am most likely going to buy used. That said, I think after I'm done with my current rig, it will be time to save for a nice boutique head such as those you mentioned .
Oh, also does anyone know where the adjustable FX loop is in the signal chain on the 400+? Is it pre or post EQ, and is it pre or post the FX loop on the front? And will the FX level keep some oh the highs in the 400+ power stage when its not engaged at its fullest, or does it just drive the FX loop?
