Smallest Loop Pedal?

I was wondering what is the smallest loop pedal that can do sound on sound looping. The lo-fi loop junky from zvex doesen't do sound on sound but that size would be perfect. The boss rc-2 doesent cut it. Right now i have a headrush and its great. I just want to know what else is out there.

First two that come to mind are RC20-XL and Digitech Jamman (I think thats how its spelt). Also the Memory man has some looping capability

There are others, but bigger again I think.

How long of a loop do you need? If it's only like 4 seconds or so, some digital delay pedals can do it...


Otherwise, Digitech Jamman, probably.

Yeah I know... But I was assuming the RC-2 didn't cut it in you opinion as its been shrunk down to 1 pedal etc..

A little bit bigger than the RC-2, but the EHX Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai? That's what I'm gassing for.

the rc-2 wasen't as intuitive as i'd like in a pedal. also, the feel of the switch is weird for a looper. it also tries to quantize whatever im playing and i just want a simple sound on sound looper. like i said, im happy with the headrush but i wish is was ultra small and i don't use the delay part of it

Boss DD-6 has what I think they call 'hold', but its a short looper. My guitar player has one, and its a bit finnicky to use... cant be more than 5 seconds either... I have a Jamman, but its not that great. it is on the same level as the RC-20, but I never used that one so I don't know if it is better or worse.

yeah but the boss is still a boss. great for other effects but i wouldn't use the delay and it still feels like a boss

Looks like the Jamman and RC-20 are the smallest other than those.

just got myself an RC 20XL, doesnt seem massive to me, certainly not untransportable. and i find it works really well and easily.

Where are you getting your info from? Bad mouthing EHX and Boss is like bad mouthing Hagen-Dauz and Ben&Jerry ice cream!

Loopers are pretty well digital, so a BYOC or similar would be pretty unlikely.

BYOC does sell that digital delay, though. So who knows?

I agree, what is your beef with EHX and boss?? too mainstream? haha

I like EHX, and don't like Boss as much, but a few of their pedals are perfect for me. I also hate digitech, but still use the jamman, and would definitely take a whammy if given to me...

but loopers are going to be hard to make yourself. unless you are a electrical/computer engineer, it will probably take several months of hard work to design one, seeing as how no one is going to give you a schematic for something like this
