Smallest multi-effects processor??

Was the smallest one out there for bass?? I need something I can toss into the pocket of my gig bag that sounds half-way decent for live situations..

I was looking at the Pocket Pod but they dont make it for bass..

There's some old Zoom models that are pretty small. I think that the current smallest in production one the would also be Zoom with the B2.1u

Not smallest, but the eventide modfactor is probably the best one out there that has loads of options.

Go for the PocketPod or the Bass Pod XT,
the newer pods like the podx3 and the pocketpod work with both bass and guitar.

IIRC, the Korg Pandora PXD4 and the PXD5 are for both guitar and bass.

EDIT: I've been using the Boss Micro BR with really nice results using the guitar models and effects. Not to mention the digital recording...

My father in law just got a zoom multieffect for his acoustic guitar and he had me set up some patches for him. I was very impressed with the quality of the sounds. The interface was clumsy, but the sound was great. I'd be interested in the bass version. It's quite small, light and inexpensive

I use the pocket pod, it can be used for bass. It has bass amp and cab emulations. if you want a bass specific multi-effect the zoom b2 is one of the smallest and useful. I use the pocket pod with my Boss ls-2 so it can be used on stage.

Are you guys talking about the Zoom B2.1U??

I'd like to check one out if I can find it locally.. Pretty nice that they have a small expression pedal in a tiny package.

The main effects I'd like to have are chorus, auto-wah (or wah controlled by pedal), and octaver. I'm assuming the B2.1U can do all of that??

You know... I've always been intrigued by the little Pandora. And the new one, with a (presumably cheesy) USB audio interface is awfully tempting as a 'mad money' purchase. I assume it sounds like poo compared to 'real' effects, but it really claims to have a huge bang-for-buck quotient.

Boss Micro BR seems much more of a multitrack recorder than it does a multi-effect unit. They barely even demo or go into what it's abilities are. I downloaded the manual and it still barely addresses those abilities.

The Micro BR is pretty weak as a multi effect/modeler. It's OK for a vacation headphone amp/sketch pad.

The Zoom B2 is pretty decent for modeling and effects.

POD modeling is very good, if that's what you want, but the effects are not great IME. Plus, the Bass POD pro I just got has no truly clean/bypass tone. The models all have fairly strong coloring, I can't get my clean tone.

I was very interested in the pocket POD but wasn't sure if it had bass appropriate models. I assume it has no bypass either.

i was in the store yesterday and in passing I saw a Korg toneworks AX3B, I was suprised about how small it was. Apparently, it's made to fit into a gig bag:

and the ax5b is actually really not that much bigger, and comes with an expression pedal

+1 on the Micro BR. Also has drum loops for rehearsing.
