Double Bass Snow Basses

I just picked up a snow bass yesterday. This is a fully carved bass that was made in 2003. The bass plays great and has been set-up well. It has one open seam I am going to get fixed after the holidays. I was looking to upgrade to a hybrid but this bass spoke to me.

UPDATE:

Since there isn't all that much info on these bases I wanted to give a quick update on the one I picked up back in December. After 3 months the bass has opened up nicely and is a room rattler for sure. I had a seam closed and the nut adjusted and it plays very well. Even across strings and really sings well in the upper register.

Put used EPs on and that seems to be a good match for myself and the bass. It has held its own in acoustic situations (even with a scaled down drum kit). I find that the bass speaks well under the bow and seems to be projecting even better pizz (I was able to compare it with a ply Epiphone, lower left in second pic). Looks like I am set for at least a few years as I won't need to upgrade anytime soon.

FYI: Snow SB300 fully carved bass made in 2003.
