Snow!

I don't like snow. It's cold and wet. But it's OK when I'm inside.

I have been kinda trapped in my hometown since the beginning of December. I could have gone a few times with my parents to buy food, but I prefer to relax at home. The ice has been really slippery (I don't know what it's called in English) and I'm on summer tyres.

Snow in Texas, yes indeed!

Here's about the extent of the accumulation at my house, on the leaf of a philodendron...

I remember my first snowball fight! I moved from the Oakland, CA area to Utah in 1971. That fall we had a heavy snowstorm. I've yet to see a heavier September snowstorm since. My brothers and I were out in the front yard throwing snowballs, making snowmen, the whole bit. By about December, I realized that walking to school in the winter kinda sucked!

We're expecting snow for the next few days and into this weekend. I have a really nice snowblower, so I'm ready. :hyper:

IMO The only thing that sucks about snow is driving in it, other than that, I really like winter.

Just got home from Lousy-ana, and yup, we got snow Christmas day....well, some flakes mixed in with mostly sleet and freezing rain....it was pretty to look at for a bit, I had to drive in it (ran out of peanut oil, had to go search for a place that was open and had it!), I stood outside and watched it fall while we were deep frying our Christmas turkey, froze my tuckus off...the driving part was no sweat, just had to not try to take corners at Mach II like I normally do! ;) I still had the sleet on my car the next day, untill I got up on the highway on the way to Baton Rouge in the afternoon.

Man, that was some weird weather for this part of the world.

(Yes Gia, I do realize it's a symptom of "global warming" as well, scary)

As a kid, I grew up in El Paso, Texas... I can remember it snowing once or twice... Once was a dusting, but once was a real snow storm... weird...

We werent strangers to snow tho, because we'd go up to Ruidoso, NM every other weekend, during the winter & go skiing @ Sierra Blanca.
