So, How many watts do you have?

320 Watts.

Bass > Digitech BP 50 > Peavey Combo 115 > Amp out from Peavey to input of Behringer BX1200

With this set-up, I can separately control the volume of the BX1200. With this, I'm adding a fully adjustable, punchy 12" aluminum speaker paired with the amplified bottom of the Peavey's 15" Black Widow. I crank up the BX1200 on the harder rock stuff and turn it down a notch to feel the low end better when I do some of the older blues/rock stuff during gigs. Man, this pair can get loud!

Total max output 575 watts (the 2 cabs provide the 4 ohm load needed).


Does me nicely - have never needed it at full tilt, so not even sure I know what it sounds like using all 575 watts!

To my mind it does a great job of replacing my Trace Stack....otherwise, I may have perceviered with the Trace!!


Sounds can be the same - but I feel that you can dial in more warmth from the Ashdowns valve pre-amp, yet the Ashdown can be every bit as clean as the Trace. Only thing missing from the Trace is the dual band compressor, but you get the sub-harmoniser instead....

The cabinets are up to the Trace cabs, but way lighter and easier to transport.

My only thinking is that I was maybe hasty to go for the 4x8 and 1x15 combination ( I was replacing the 4 x 10 and 1 x 15 Trace setup....and just tried out the same type of combination). I'd like try out 2 4 x 8 cabs in a store, and see how it compares to the 4x8 and 1x15 setup....
