I was at my local GC today (I know, but there are NO "mom and pop" shops in DFW) and they had a road worn 62 Fender J reissue. Not usually a big fan of straight up J basses, but I gave this one a shot. Dear lord, it was beautiful. the sound was amazing and I felt an immediate connection with the bass. It was one of those times you pick up an instrument, and it just feels right...

Sad Part? Its $1000. not good for college wallet. :bawl:

BTW, go to Competition Music off of Lancaster (just drive east on division FOREVER). Mom and Pop, right next to Arlington! I got my ATK there for what adds up to about $240 in trades. Pretty sick stuff they got.


..actually, now that I think about it, you probably shouldn't go there. Bad for the bank account.
