I'm generally a "fingers, bass, cord, amp" kind of guy.
But one of our guitarists has an old Boss CE-2 and he isn't using it, so I asked if I could try it out on our gig.
Used it for color during a couple of songs.
It didn't suck. :D
Seriously, it provided a nice bit of different tonality.

I don't feel like I'll be building a pedal board any time soon, but it was fun to play with the tonal palette a bit.

Mine started with..."Oh cool I have a footswitch for my amp!" quickley followed by "A wah pedal would be kinda cool."

Yeah its kinda sad when you look at your pedal board and think, that could be a nice new bass, but it sounds too cool to sell. and I do need a good chorus... and another distortion... and a synth... and a phase...

Yeah, I played pedal-free for nearly 20 years, then last year I felt I should get a compressor. Now, I have distortion, compression, a Micro POG (in transit), a BBE maximizer, an A/B/Y, a para EQ, and a X2 wireless.... all on a hand built board. I've spent pretty much all of my spare time the last few days, searching for the best chorus pedal and wah, and maybe another distortion pedal. JEEZ!!! The addiction has it's talons deep in my soul!!! I'm lovin' it though, HEHE.

Keeps me from GASing for basses or amps/cabs, which are much more costly.

Oh, and I'm planning my next board, my old one is now too small, and it's only a few months old. :)
