so i went to The Wall last night

i travelled up to Sydney with the misses....big floyd fan

i guess i havent seen any big time concerts for a few years....i noticed a few things..... spending quiet time with the misses without the kids isnt as much fun as it used to be....all the things wrong with me and everything i have to do....nag nag on the trip up...

at the concert....as soon as the lights went down, all the iphones suddenly sprung up, there was a guy next to the wife constantly shining his iphone on...so i leant over and said to him, hey mate do you know you can get a bluray of the entire show for 15 bucks, he looked at me with some dum blank look....i said so you want this for your facebook page or what?....i think he got embarased and turned it off...but what do all these boof heads hope to achieve taking crappy movies ...i have no idea

anyway i enjoyed the show, so how did they shine all the stuff on the wall so nice like, where was the projector?....well it was 75% as good as pink 20 odd years ago...i wish they would get back together again

I live north of Boston and Marillion came to Montreal a few years back, it's about a 5 hour drive and I passed on it.

I read reviews later and guys were saying so many people were holding up video cameras that you couldn't see the band, you could only see video cameras...and it was totally obnoxious....people were more obsessed over the filming than taking in a live show and living in the moment.

I saw the Wall in boston and liked it so much I went and saw it again a few days later...might go see it in July again...was pretty awesome...

I saw it last year in DC. It was so awesome. I want to go again this summer. I don't remember noticing a lot of iphones in the crowd, but it is something I've noticed in general at shows these days. It's like people would rather brag about being there than actually enjoy being there.

Unfortunately, Pink Floyd can't get back together with Wright deceased. But it'd be sweet if Waters and Gilmour would bury the hatchet and tour. I'm not holding my breath, though.
