So, Marcus Miller played this??

Purchase the bass.
If you are able to play like Marcus on this bass, then clearly his magic has rubbed off on the bass and then to you indicative that Marcus did indeed use the instrument.
Simple.

BTW, wasn't that bass used in some of the troll battle scenes in the Lord of the Rings films? Look closely....

Marcus plays lots of basses. He signs even more. The signature adds nothing to the real value of the bass IMO. Buy it on it's merits.

I'd like to say I don't get the instant dismissals here... but I do.

:eyebrow:

Why would anyone expect appreciable wear on a bass he might've gigged with ONCE? He's not that hard on instruments. It's easy enough to check with Marcus himself and see if he played it or not, if that makes a difference to you: www.marcusmiller.com

Why do some of you think him playing it is beyond the realm of possibility? He's a very high profile bassist who has instruments offered to him on a regular basis. If you've ever been to one of his shows you'll know thatsigning things is a staple after his shows. He's very accomodating.

Yeah, it's probably a ripoff

I would like to agree with Brad.

Bass Atlanta was in negotiations with Nexus to carry their instruments, but we never closed the deal. I asked Noel if any well-known U.S. bass players were endorsing his basses.
His email response was as follows:

"Officially none, but Marcus Miller, TM-Stevens and Mike Porcaro have played Nexus´ses and will become Nexus owners."

So, it's entirely possible that this eBayer's story is true. However, his 75% feedback doesn't instill confidence....especially since I can't read Belgian, or German, or whatever language the negative feedback is written in.

Here are some photos of Nexus basses that aren't on the website:
