  1. I guess this doesn't belong here, but I'm researching for an EUB I'm building, but couldn't figure out how to start a thread in EUB. Stupid me. Anyway, people here might be able to help w/this: Remember when Sting played bass? On one of the last Police albums, he played some tracks on an electric upright built by (I think) a Danish man. His name, anyone? Thanks.

  3. I thought it was just the DMV's special talent- apparently not. Actually, I found out it was a guy named Van Zalinge(Picture guy? Dunno)- no longer building. I search on blindly..

It was a van Zalinge Z Bass (Dutch electric upright bass) of which some 240 were made - I picked up one in 1986 and still use it - fabulous bass.

Wow, you do realize you just revived a 6-year-old thread, right?
