My buddy just got one of these and brought to my house for a setup. He could barely pry it out of my hands as I told him, "I'm still testing it!"I played a Stiletto Stealth at a GC recently and was very pleased, great neck shape imo.
I would say close to a JazzI have been eyeing that model t for awhile. Looks great. What's the neck profile like in comparison to a fender jazz?
I owned a Stiletto Custom 6 for eight years. It was my first "pro" instrument out of high school. It's what I used on my first studio job at 17, multiple big band gigs throughout college and eventually into my adult life. It was a good eight years, but my needs (read: wants) changed. We parted ways in 2015.
It was an enjoyable bass and had a great sound. It was sturdily built, and I never experienced problems with it. Quite versatile, too. Dual EMG-Hz pickups and active 2-band EQ made it an easy choice when I had a gig to play.

I own a Stiletto Studio 4 and 5. Both great basses for the money. The 5 is older and has separate volume knobs for bridge and neck, and I was disappointed to find the newer 4 has a blend knob. Though convenient for live situations, I think blend knobs hurt the tone of the pickups.
Also there 5 strings are 35” scale.
Love that
It's one sexy bass for sure. I'm monitoring the prices for these as with Schecter basses, they go through model iterations like there's no tomorrow so discontinued models typically go for a song before they disappear. My buddy just got one of these and brought to my house for a setup. He could barely pry it out of my hands as I told him, "I'm still testing it!"
I have the gloss ash body/rosewood CV-5 and yes, it's heavy, but the 4 would be much lighter. The tone is worth the weight, that's a fine p.u. system! If it's ash it has the potential to be heavy. I played a Studio Stiletto 4 for years and that was a case of great tone also.is the CV-4 especially heavy? I have seen some great prices via the "open box" option at MF
Yeah, mine is anything but. If anything, the tone I get from my Schecter is much more beefy and balanced than what I'm getting from my Fenders. Certainly not anything resembling uncontrollable ear-splitting treble. That sounds like a faulty pickup or preamp or something.Wait....so now EMG systems have ear splitting, uncontrollable treble?
Presto-alakazam...a new Talkbass meme is born. Yay.
