I'm a freelance writer.
I write mostly online content in behavioral health.
It doesn't really help playing bass.
However, growing up at reahearsals with my mom - a professional actor - then going to theatre school and working as a professional actor and director definitely helped, since I spent the whole first half of my life making art.
I got tired of being a broke theatre artist in my early 30s, and went to college for a degree in Rhetoric/Composition, which got me where I am today.
Bass is my "stay interested in something as I get older" hobby, but I did start on music early on in life, with piano lessons at ahe 6 and playing clarinet and saxophone in the elementary school band. And of course, like any good suburban kid, I've been messing with guitars since I was around 13.
