so...why do we use our hands like we do?

I'm left-handed, but I play "right-handed," because it makes more sense for me to have my left hand on the neck. So, I don't know what to tell ya ;)
Then how come right handed folk don't play with their right hand on the neck? If we follow most everyones arguments on why to play right handed style (eewwwww) then there should be a world of players playin' the left handed way.

<--- Crazy left-hander.

:D

Couple of thoughts on the subject;

1) People don't give the striking hand enough credit.

2) I had a vision of hitting a string as being similar to throwing a punch. If you were to hit someone, which hand would you grab their lapel with?

3) This idea was confirmed, to an extent, when I read an interview with Veasly (sp?) who also waxed poetic about how you should be loose in the arm before hitting a string the same way a boxer is before he "unfurls his arm" to strike.

I have decided, after much inner debate, to play lefty because I am left-handed for exactly these reasons.

...And I have a mean left jab...

;)
