i'm always down for some good electronic stuff, but i do like how orchestras are returning to film scores. a lot of times, electronic scores were done to simulate orchestral music and replace the orchestra, and if you listen to those films it sounds really cheesy. so the musician side of me is really glad to hear less cheaping out in film scores these days.
but i think trent's stuff worked because he wasn't trying to replace an orchestra but let the electronics do their own thing. and he actually works the electronics rather than just program them and hit play. really cool stuff.
