Hopefully this will produce some good stuff. Bust out your favorite "Soft Rock" jams! Been working on a master mix for when I'm cooking out. Cheesy? Yes! But some of those songs are really well written.

Had a job when I was a teenager as a stock boy at an arts and crafts store and they would pump this stuff in the PA all day everyday.

  3. 10cc, love your selections! Have to put my two (or three) cents in, though...

You had to start it, I had to go there. It was a moral imperative or something.

Does yacht rock count as soft rock?

Well, if yacht rock is go, then no soft rock thread is complete without a little Christopher Cross.

Badfinger got a brand new fan (my wife) when Breaking Bad closed out the series with "Baby Blue".

Tried to find a better recording, but no such luck this one will do though.

I was raised on early 80s AM radio soft rock- still have a soft spot for it. Here's a few- everything Air Supply and Hall and Oates did fits too

I've been hanging out on Ch 32 and ch 7 on XM a lot lately! How Long - Ace
Lido Shuffle and Lowdown - Boz Skaggs
    Diamond Girl - already mentioned
    Angry Eyes - Loggins

    Goes on and on..

That song On and On is good too :)

Man, you guys are diving deep into some serious Jr. High flashback territory here... Haven't heard, much less thought about Christopher Cross in probably 20 years, but as soon as the music started, the memory of some of my first dates jumped back in... Thanks for the brain reboot! I wonder whatever happened to Chrissy Spiker?

    Yeah! Eye in the Sky!!

I think these songs were heard by me in my tender years (born in '75) while riding in the car or van we had with nothing but a diaper on and no seatbelt.. They take me back..

    Little River Band too!
