Soldering output for Squier Jazz

My output has been loose for a while and before I knew that you're supposed to open the plate and hold the bottom, I used to just spin it till it tightened. This time the spinning wasn't working so I opened the plate and saw this detached wire.

I'm not sure if the output is in the proper position but i did fix the loose nut on the other side. I would just like to know where do i solder this red wire?

If you looking through the edge of the phenolic insulating wafers you will see the right hand wire terminal lug connects to the long contact that connects to the tip of the guitar cable tip of the plug
. That is the lug you connect the red wire to. The other lug is ground but in your case there is no connection as the jack physically and electrically connects to the metal control plate to supply ground to the other pots. NOTE: Make sure a star washer is on the output jack then reinsert the jack into the hole slide a smooth thin flat washer on followed by the nut and tighten the nut. It is imperative the star washer locks the jack to the control plate to keep it from turning or the nut will keep getting loose and the shiny flat washer keeps the nut from scarring up the control plate.
