Solid State power amp run with no load...

Is this ok? I'm contemplating using my MAG 250s head section as the pre amp for my rig, meaning i'll have an FX loop etc. Only thing is, is it ok to use it without a speaker attached to it?

It only matters if you're running a tube rig which you're not.

I'm still not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but a SS amp can be speaker-free without harm done to it.
