Double Bass "solo of your choice"?

This is probably a stupid question, but for the placement auditions at a music festival it says "a solo of your choice." Would this usually be open to show pieces, or does it imply a movement of a standard concerto or Bach suite of you choice?

It probably means exactly what it says, pick anything you play well and would show well with and perform it! For audition placement Bach Or concerto both can work well!

lol i believe it. in all seriousness, play the piece that you think best demonstrates your ability and your playing level, whatever it is.
