solo

hi everyone
I play drums for my band (which name do you prefer airplane hero or smoking science)
I also play bass and may play for some of the songs and was wondering if you have any tips on soloing
thanks

You can start with taking lead guitar stuff that would fit and making it more groove oriented. Also your great sound in the mix may not work as well solo. And your solo voice may not work that well in the mix. A basic I found for my voicings is that a little more overdrive then would use solo works better in the mix. Besides lead guitar stuff adapted to bass you can also use rhythm guitar stuff for bass to like Lemmy of Moterhead does,
