Some headphone connection Effect recommendations needed please.

I have been looking for a "Pod" type dvice so that I can practice at home without bothering the neighbors... My brother plays the guitar and has a pocket Pod that he really likes...

Not really looking at it for the effects side, just something I can plumb in an MP3 player(or computer) and hook up my bass to play along with songs, or just to listen to myself through headphones. Maybe get some SVT type sound or similar.

Have been looking at the Bass POD XT, Digitech BP200, Digitech BP 80, Bass Floor POD and the Berhinger Bass V-Amp.

The digitech BP80 doesn't have a "jam-a-long" port so I believe it is out. And I have looked on Berhingers site, but cant tell if it does either. Will probably just grab the POD XT, but wanted to get some opinions first...

Thanks!!

I tried a BP80 and the headphone output was anemic ... I'd imagine that the BP200 would similarly disappoint.

Other than that ... I'm interested in the replies you get as I'm in the same boat.

Regards,

Victor

PANDORA PXB4. you can hook in your ipod or pc. plus you can transpose any song to any key, up or down. you can take 30 seconds of a song and slow it down so you can get those really fast line you need to learn. and it has a drum machine which is good for practicing.
