Somebody stop me...NBD

Well a week or so ago I bought my new Squier VM Jazz, and yesterday gas struck again. I got a chance to swap a spare amp for a Squier Musicmaster Vista series. I'm loving this short scale, tho it needs new strings in a hurry. I need to find a gig bag or case for it too, but no hurry. I also picked up a Phil Jones Briefcase this week , so I think I better stop or my wife will have me sleeping outdoors. I'll post pics when I get a chance...played my first jam session tonite, learning bass is fun !

Those Vista shorties are great...

They would be better if they had been made in Japan as well, but they're still awesome...

Nice going on the jamming and learning and buying. I can already see that you're a man of discerning taste...:smug:

The only suggestion I can make is to try out some more basses of different designs and styles. You seem to already know what you like, but spending afternoon after afternoon in the bass section of my local guitar shops really helped me narrow down my preferences (what type of neck you like, active vs. passive, etc).

Thanks for the reply Yakob, I'm really having fun so far. The VM Jazz was a great straight across trade at a music store. It's a beauty, and some real bass players have checked it out for me and say it' s winner, smooth neck and great action /setup. The Musicmaster is of course shorter lighter more comfy to play, but I'm keeping them both. I'm really an acoustic guitar player /singer...in a country band. Now and then the bass player has me "take over for a minute" LOL So that sparked my interest. We'll see how it goes. My Phil Jones amp is probably all I'll need for a while, if I ever need something bigger than the briefcase I'll probably need a bus and a manager too !!
