I do agree that TB is self-policing to a certain extent, in this respect. What I would hate to see is if this system penalised that kind of thing - i.e. it can be very unpopular to "call soembody out" when they are talking rubbish...?

I think it's better for sound advice to be given, rather than TB just becoming a popularity contest!!

The rep points system at Bigsoccer.com has left me cold, for most of the reasons already mentioned:

• too many points awarded among cliques
• way too much vindictiveness
• very little point in carrying a good rep

Thanks for the input. I can say with a fair amount of certainty that we won't be initiating a rep system any time soon. Many good points brought up. In reality it seems that rep systems are not benefiting large communities. Very interesting reading the current debate on bigsoccer.com, and their recent troubles. I bet they nix their rep system very soon...
