Something to replace Little Mark

I'm looking for a new amp to replace my little mark 2. I love it, but I think I'd like something thicker sounding, by thicker I mean more like a db751 sound. It doesn't have to sound like a db751, but more in that direction then the little mark 2. I'm using bergantino cabs, and tc electronic cabs too.

Are you trying to stay with the micro form factor? If so, I don't think you're going to find anything better for that type of tone than the LM stuff. Maybe the GK MB2-500, or the upcoming (maybe?) MB-Fusion.

If I were you, and I wanted to stay micro, I'd keep the LM and put a VT-Bass pedal in front of it. I used to run that setup and it was wonderful, and definitely thicker than the LM on it's own.

Uh. Walkabout is the only smallish amp that's killed my seller's remorse for ditching my DB750. I've played the Rh450, but, honestly, the Walkabout's a different ball game IMO.

I believe the walkabout is 300W into 4ohm, so the LM is more powerfull.

The AG500 is also a great amp, but tonally different from the LM. It's more a question what tone you prefer. The only way is to check them both out and have a listen.

I bought a Marco edition LM2. It went back to the store after an A/B with my 800RB. There was so much more life in the tone of the GK. Like the difference between mass market candy and something grandma made with molasses. Just sayin'.

I use a LMII and either a TL606 or occasionally a Berg HT322.
The TL606 didn't cut it at last night's outdoor gig, I practice with the Berg and LMII.
Just for fun I AB'd the LM vs. an SVTCLP pre / power amp rig.
The big amp did have slightly more foundation and richness as does using my standard issue SVT.

Age old question; does a little more beef really have to weigh 10x more?
