Yo this shaging rips, did you play drums on it too?

Yes, I'm sorry, I was a bit overtaken at the time I posted it (and I also didn't want to take away from the sentiment/message of the piece by being all like Hey yeah this is about me!): This is all my music. Drums, singing, mixing, mastering. The synth and things are of course programmed. I don't even have a keyboard, I draw the stuff in. Probably not helping my mental state, actually, haha.

Thanks to everyone who listened, but thanks even more to everyone who's been jumping in and contributing all these wonderful pieces of music that deal with a subject that's become really, really prescient for me.

I think I want to put a few songs together and put them out on Bandcamp and if anyone wants to pay whatever for them, I'll donate all of it to mental health charities? The system is so broken, at least here in Australia. The person I'm (trying to) care for is finding it so, so hard to access any meaningful assistance... and we're supposedly a developed nation. It's crushing. It is, kinda like this silly song of mine, like watching a child trapped under the ice.

I was well-acquainted with Wesley, being a friend of his friends and guardian, hung out with him many afternoons and evenings, received many head bumps there, on the street, at festivals and shows.

I was there the evening after he got razored on the CTA.

A sweet guy, big and scary to those who just met him, but good-hearted and talented; his talent cut thru his disabilities. I still have one of his large sticker drawings onna guitar case of .... a drawing of a CTA bus. (He was razored onna train.)

RIP, my friend.

Skip Spence, of Moby Grape, was in many ways an American Syd Barrett. His only solo release, Oar, was a chronicle of his downward spiral. This is the lead track…

He ended up sleeping under bridges, in spite of the help of many. MG’s bassist, Bob Mosley, suffered some dark times as well. The album became a belated cult item(extra demos were issued in addition).

Literally all of The Outsider also makes me think of a lot of people I've met that haven't ended up in the best places later in life.
