Have never liked these types of partial plays. Anyone with me? Shouldn't it be a whole match? It's like playing a 4 domino on a 6 domino because 4 is part of 6.

As long as the word chosen is a contiguous word on it's own, it's a legit play, but there are times when that won't work due to the words not permitted because they're too common rule.(The from Them, for example) Getting Sea, from Chelsea is legit, because Sea is a word on it's own. Getting Hell from Chelsea is not, because Hel is not a word. (Although that is a legit play in the Music Match thread)
