Song Uno: Thread #79

Rich-
...do you have that LP? If so, how is the rest of it? Sometimes "the hit" is like nothing else on the album (e.g. Looking Glass)

Jim,

I only had Don't Pull Your Love on a 45. That song was originally offered to The Grass Roots and they turned it down. Both groups were on ABC/Dunhill Records at the time. According to Rob Grill from The Grass Roots, they ended up being sorry they did not record the song. However, he performed the song for many years afterward with his lineup of The Grass Roots, including a concert I organized and hired them.

There was another minor hit from the Hamilton, Joe Frank, & Reynolds debut album called Annabella.

Tommy Reynolds left the group in late 1972, while Hamilton and Carollo continued with various players eventually changing to Hamilton, Joe Frank, & Dennison.

They had several singles in the 70s

1971: "Don't Pull Your Love" (US #4)
1971: "Annabella" (US #46)
1971: "Daisy Mae" (US #41)
1972: "One Good Woman"
1975: "Fallin' in Love" (US #1, UK #33)
1976: "Winners and Losers" (US #21)
1976: "Everyday Without You"
1976: "Light Up The World With Sunshine" (US #67)
1976: "Don't Fight the Hands (That Need You)" (US #72)
