Songs for university audition

Hello, I'm planning to music university. It's sound engineering, but as it's in a usual music university there are entrance exams, and one of the parts is an audition where I'll have to play 2 songs in different genres. And because my main instrument is bass I wonder what songs I could play.

I've already picked "Dean Town" by Vulfpeck cause I've played it for a very long time, a bit more practice and I'll master it. But I don't know what to choose for the second song.
I've been thinking some swing, because that's the only jazz I feel comfortable playing, but that might be a little too straightforward? There's not a lot happening except I play the same walking for 5 mins. I was thinking "Dwa Serduszka" by Joanna Kulig, I've played it during a play at my school, and it's pretty jazzy.

Please help me with my choice.
I'd pick some slap cause I'm pretty comfortable with it (like "Sky Mall" also by Vulfpeck, except the final solo - I haven't even tried it yet) but it's mostly funk, so I'd have to give up "Dean Town". Maybe some rock/pop-ish stuff? Help please

What is the curriculum? Assuming it's mostly jazz, you should go with something in that genre. I'd pick one song with a set bass part, and one non-bass part, so you can be more melodic. Perhaps a Coltrane solo.

It's sound engineering, so it's not really related to jazz or even the intrument, but they still need me to show I can play an instrument pretty well

Studying literature, I was greatly impressed by the sample essays based on the work To Kill a Mockingbird https://edubirdie.com/examples/to-kill-a-mockingbird/ But I still can’t think of which technique is better to use? Is it possible to use a little blind? And the main riffs should be played with fingers or with a pick? This will all affect the sound quality and style of the genre. Or perhaps college professors will not appreciate such creativity and it is better to rehearse a famous piece of music? Help please

I hope you have chosen interesting songs and are happy with your choice. Next year my cousin is also planning to be a music college student and is also nervous about what style he should play in the audition. If it's not a secret what did you choose?

I have my exams at the end of June, so that's still over two months for me, but I've chosen the songs, although I still want to consult my choice with my music teacher. I've chosen "Dean Town" by Vulfpeck and "Check Up" by Pilichowski. I'm not sure about this choice but in case of Sound Engineering at this university the most immportant thing (as they say) is just playing correctly.
Good luck to your cousin, he still has a year so he can prepare really well. I was told to play two songs of different styles, he should ask someone or check the website for some specific info.
