Check out the bassline in Isis's Ghost Key. Delay + Chorus (detune mode on a Boss PS-3). I think that's pretty modern sounding, or at least it doesn't sound like the 80's to me.

Aaron actually did start using more clean vocals on Wavering Radiant, but he still switched back and forth between that and the growling.

Most of Chris Squire's bass tracks on Yes' "Tormato" LP had lots 'o chorus on 'em.

Chris's tone on Tormato is awesome. He uses envelope filter as well.
Also look into Awaken where Chris do lots of stuff regarding effects and basses. Well he use the 3 neck Wal bass.
He also use chorus on Drama , Tales from the topographic oceans and The Ladder.
Geddy's intro to the Trees have been mentioned, chorus there as well.

Roy uses a lot of delayed bass grooves. This is a bit of an older video, but I believe he is still using the same effects today: 2 delays and a tuner. Fast forward to about 1:20 or so.

Jon Stockman from Karnivool uses delay on a few songs. Check out "New Day" and "All I Know." Sound Awake is a fantastic album IMO, one of the most creative and tasteful things I've heard in years.

I'd think that most would listen to Isis more for the music rather than the vocals. Even so, check out 'Not In Rivers, But In Drops' and '1,000 Shards' off the 'In The Absence Of Truth' album for really delicious chorus + delay + reverb examples and (relatively) clean vocals.

some of the coolest bass chorus is, as stated above, in the 80s. "the power station - get it on (bang a gong" off some album i forgot. anyway, its got a killer bass solo thing in the middle. the chorus is just killer on it. great bass player, but i want to say he died of something odd like food poisoning, plus, again, from what ive heard he did not play that solo; was some studio fellow.

Rocket Queen when Duff was still in GN'R was awesome with the chorus.

...as for The Cure, there's more chorus than delay. It's usually Robert with the delay on. Although I play the outro of A Forest with delay. You can add chorus to almost any Cure song and it usually sounds good (Grinding Halt, Disintegration, The Holy Hour)

Bernard Edwards of Chic also played some bass on that album and produced it. He died of pneumonia the night of the Budokan show. That show is available as a live dvd, which is pretty effed up.

I remember Peter Steele's bass sound with Type O Negative being full of chorus pretty much all the time; sometimes with fuzz added but there are some songs that stick out in my mind as having a particularly syrupy chorus without the fuzz. "Wolf Moon" off October Rust in particular.

pretty much tool's entire AEnima has both chorus and delay scattered about in it. especially songs like pupoopie, 46&2 and the "title" track. and pretty much from that album on they've used both here and there. isis has used both on their final 3 albums..even though i wanted to say they started on Oceanic, i'm pretty sure only chorus was used on that one.
i'd say pretty much most post-rock/metal type bands use both..
