This was my jam for like 2 weeks
.The only parts of my iTunes library that no one ever, EVER hears are the J/K-pop, J/K-rock (Japanese/Korean for those not in the know, lol). Everything else I'll play loud n' proud, lol. I needa find more people that would be cool with this music
.I also love the best of bread album, and I'm 32. I put my mate onto it, who is mainly into Hip Hop, and he loved it that much that he put his cousin onto it.
Great songs. I am now at a stage in my life that I no longer care what other people think about my taste in music.
I also like some of the Bee Gee's......
Anything by Aqua. Seriously. Sickeningly-sweet Europop somehow always sneak into my black metal heart. I have to be careful listening to it in the car because I don't dare be seen cranking Aqua with the windows rolled down!
Calling You in particular gets me as giddy as a schoolgirl for some reason.

John Taylor is a fantastic bass player. One of my favorite songs to play is "Rio," man what a fun line.
Sorry about this but do you believe that Mr Taylor was responsible for the more 'intricate' bass work with Duran?
Not a slight of course, but I was told a few years back by a top sessi.....I've already said too much ; )
I fess-up to taking an interest in the track when it came out, not so much the lyrics of course their on the feminine side, but the track, Sweet Like Chocolate - Shanks & Bigfoot, don't ask me why, the programming I think

I have a theory, guy is a friend of John's (since international fame kicked in back then), I can't be 100% of course, but I'm 100% that there's a bassist somewhere out there signed up to a confidentiality agreement for work rendered ; )

I can't help thinking that ; ) Maybe, maybe not, but it ain't John Taylor imo and 'others'.
Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell", and the entire album it comes from, is some of my very favorite music from the '80s. It kills me.
I know he's considered sort of a quaint cartoon character by now.
And since someone mentioned the Monkees, "Pleasant Valley Sunday" always makes me crank up the volume on my car radio. Likewise, certain things by Led Zep, even though I've never been able to take them very seriously, either. (Oops, now I've done it...)
