Soooo......Beat Buddy?

Looking to add some decent-ish sounding drums to a drummerless country trio (Bass, geetar, vox) for smaller gigs. Most likely a silent stage with IEM's. Smaller gigs. Think "acoustic" type of setting.

Not looking to recreate the drum beats/patterns from the songs we're covering. But not against doing that, either.

After a little research it seems the Beat Buddy is the way. I'm open to opinions on other products. IOW, prove me wrong.

Other option could be to load mp3 beats, or the recreated drum parts of your songs, on a Boss RC-5 looper.

beat buddy is great (well, aside the HP out that was noisy on mine). I owned one and sold to financial difficulties.

it's more flexible than an average looper, as it supports different song parts, switched either automatically or by footswitch.

please note, you'll need a footswitch to make use of full potential. if you didn't order one from SingularSound, other kinds of dual momentary normally closed footswitches on a TRS will work.

I used the Pigtronix Infinity Looper Remote Switch with my BeatBuddy, it worked. Boss FS-6 should work as well, when set to momentary and normally closed.
