I recently got an Aguilar db 410 and Tone hammer 500. I really Love it. Playing a Sadowsky NYC p/j 4 thru it.
Everything is great about the match up except for a weird frequency that is making the low 'F' and 'E' lose response and have a buzz to the note. IT'S ONLY ON THOSE TWO NOTES! It's most obvious when I'm playing close to the neck. It's almost like the speaker's peaking, but not quite.
I've tried everything I can think of. Changed settings over and over on the amp and bass. Used the -10db pad. Gone passive. Changed the battery. Changed strings.
I even went to the Sadowsky shop and they switched out the P pickups and set up the bass.
I should also mention that I've played thru at least three of the same identical rigs over the last week. Same problem.
I also get the same problem when I run my old PBass thru it. Don't get the problem when I run a Jbass thru it.
Anybody got any ideas? Cuz I'm all ears.
