Gotta think this is the perfect example of "tone is in the fingers". That dude is a killer player, could likely make any bass sound great :bassist:

I just bought a Fender Jazz V and I'm telling you, it's every bit as nice as basses I've owned that cost 3x as much... I'm talking Lull & Sadowsky. It's changed my opinion on boutique basses... and American Fenders.

Honestly only in the last few years have Fender Vs been that good. B strings on older ones always seemed weak, but all the American 5 strings I've tried in the last few years have had great B strings. Not sure what they are doing different.
