I just got a used HH3 here on TB and I think something may wrong with the ring. I'm currently using it with with the Pigtronix EP-2 and the ring works but not quite right. I'm hoping it's operator error and not a defunct unit. I'm using the provided 1/4" cable to the sweep pedal input, have the base station plugged into the wall, and I've messed with every setting on the unit and it's still not working. It seems to work on all of the axis settings, but it will only "express" when I make a sharp jabbing motion in the direction of the axis setting. I've noticed people on here and on youtube being able to hold the ring in a position and, by default of gravity, the ring will hold the expression and then go back when tilted to the other way of the axis. Mine does not do this. No matter what position I'm holding the ring, I've got to shake the piss out of it in order for the phaser to sweep. And it only sweeps when at the end of the movement, like snapping a wet towel. The smooth knob allows for the "towel snap" to slow down into a usable sweep, but I guess I was expecting to be able to hold the ring in a position and have it hold the amount of expression just like a foot pedal would do. I've gone through the manual, tried changing the configuration output from normal to reverse and that made no difference. One thing I am having a hard time understanding is the output mode. Does the sensor output of the axi hold the key to my problem? Again, I ran through all six setting and they all acted the same minus the direction in which they would activate, but I'm not sure if the pedal I'm using just doesn't like the hot hands or maybe the ring I got with it isn't working the way it's supposed to. I know there's a few on here with lots of experience with these units, but I wasn't able to find the answer to my problem searching through the forums. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
