Source Audio Multiwave Distortion going NUTS!!Please Help

I have a Multiwave Bass Distortion Pro. Purchased in november 2012 (shipped in to India).
I Have Been Having a Few problems with it.
The MWBD went nuts a few months back. it used to just let out loud Clicks and Booms and insane volume.
A technician suggested me using a separate Good quality adapter. ( the source audio one i'd lost in a gig)
Since then i bought a ZOOM AD16e SMPS PSU unit. which was a good quality unit that comes with Zoom B3.
the problem got resolved
a few months later the problem resurfaced .
Its been lying unused for 2 months and its magically repaired on its own.
I believe it might be a Regulated PS\unregulated PS issue. Can u help me out. its fine now but i cant use it live cos im skeptical about the problem returning.
Please help me out.

I would post in the Source Audio thread, SA people are super helpful.

As for the power supply, I power my SA pedals with 1-Spot/Powerall adapters and it works very well. You definitely need to make sure that you are feeing it the right power.
