Source Audio Neuro Hub - fault

So, just got my Source Audio Neuro Hub, and have connected a Manta bass filter, Hot Hand 3 receiver, and a Yamaha MFC10 midi controller.

Set the system up so that I select pedal scenes using the MFC10.

So I'm playing and select a scene using the MFC10. After a while (variable) the manta pedal goes into bypass on its own.

I've done some fiddling about and this happens even if I disconnect the hot hand and MFC10, although it can take up to 10 mins for it to happen, and it appears to be more pronounced with everything connected.

I am also getting strange led behaviour on the neuro hub:
- the 'recall last' led constantly blinks while the MFC10 is connected
- the 'scan devices' led is dimly lit when I connect the hot hand receiver

The hot hand works fine when I connect it directly to the manta pedal and completely bypass the neuro hub.

I'm thinking the neuro hub is faulty, but figured it's worth checking on here first.

The Hub does not do particularly well responding to lots of MIDI data. I don't know much about the MFC10 or what MIDI it is sending. But I had an issue where every few seconds my Hub would default to Scene 0---is the Manta off in Scene 0 for you?

The good news is that Source Audio recently started beta testing a new firmware that should address this issue---if this is indeed the issue you're having.

I think you've hit the nail on the head.
Yes, scene 0 is off (pretty common I guess).
Thanks for this info. I'm relieved it's (hopefully) just an update away from being fixed.

The bit I can't figure out is why the MFC10 seems to be constantly sending data (the led is constantly blinking). I would have thought it would only send when a button is pushed or the pedal is moved.

There are lots of things it could be sending, like MIDI clock, which is the sort of high-volume thing that could give the Hub problems.
