source for jazz pickup rings?

How do they manage to get that price for them? I have been meaning to make some out of padauk for a while now for my bass. So, I guess you could always make 'em yourself if you weren't set on getting chromed rings.

even if you were set on chrome, I'm sure you could get some machinned fairly cheap assuming you get a decent quantity, you could then sell them and make a profit.

it's for my mightymite jazz body... it looks so good with just a control plate, but there's a gaping rectangle around the neck p'up.

I'm starting to consider just whipping up a full-on custom pickguard that will keep it clean and still cover what needs to be covered.

no..wait...lets do a set out of stainless or brushed aluminum (aluminium for the aussies and brits)...

what you need...some plate...some masking tape...some files...a dremel with a cutting wheel and other grinding attachments...a good straight edge...

and lots of time...

after you've finished...you could try polishing it, and possibly applying some spray laquer...

I bet, they'd look GOOD!

heck, my dad used to be a tool and die maker, I'll give him a call tomorrow and see if he wouldn't mind whipping me up one in his shed. I can send him a standard jazz PG to size the cutout.

He's got 2 bridgeport's in there for a reason...
