Adrian, that was my main complaint with my BN6--the super low output. Switching from that one, to one of my Roscoes, or to my Modulus Q6, was a HUGE difference in volume.
I liked the 19mm spacing for slapping, it was great for that. I also felt right at home on the 34.5" scale (my other two 6er's I had at the time were both 35"). But when it came to fingerstyle, I found I was quite a bit quicker/more precise on my slightly narrower spaced Roscoes (18mm) and Modulus (17mm).
So, I think that string spacing has more of an impact on me than scale length does, now that I think about it.
